Today Yandex announced that businesses that are advertising on both Yandex.Direct and Yandex.Market can have a store rating listed at the bottom of their ad. This advertising option makes ads more visible and increases an ad’s CTR by 1.5%.
The store rating is added to Yandex.Direct ads when they are displayed on the search results page in the premium placement ad block and the guaranteed position, under the organic search results.
An example of the rating can be seen below in Russian. Draw your attention to the grey text next to the stars. The direct translation states, “Store Rating on Market” followed by the ranking stars.
If you want your website to include the ratings, there are a few requirements that you’ll need to keep in mind First, the new rating is only included in the ad if an advertiser’s domain is the same for Yandex.Market and Yandex.Direct.
Second, the rating will only appear if the ad is in accordance with Yandex.Market rules:
1) The retailer has been on Yandex.Market for more than 30 days
2) The rating hasn’t been removed by the Yandex.Market quality control service
3) The retailer hasn’t been disconnected from Yandex.Market for no more than 30 days.
In the event you meet these requirements and don’t want the rating, you’ll need to manually shut it off. The new Yandex.Market ratings are added by default but an advertiser can disable them in their Yandex.Direct settings. The rating will also appear on the Yandex.Market product offering that end up in ad blocks on search.
